Im making pumpkin bread and the recipe calls for 15 oz of pumpkin puree and the can is 29 oz. Should I just use two cups or what?

Use half of it. If you need to, just measure out the whole thing to find out exactly how much half is, but I think you can just eyeball it.
What do you think? Answer below!
2 cups = 16oz and that would be fine.
Generally, cans are packed by weight, not by volume; measuring cups measure volume.
Look at the nutrition label on the side of the can; generally they state the portion size in both weight and volume. You should be able to do the math to figure out exactly how much you need.
Or – and this is what I would do – just wing it. 15 is about half of 29. Just scoop out half of what’s in the can.
use half..
1/2 can less 1tbls. RoofingP is misinformed. Cans go by volume not weight! In fluid ounces. IF you had 1-8oz can of water and 1-8oz can of oil, the volume is the same but weight is not, we all know oil floats on water!
